Our Government client is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer on a renewable 12 month contract in Durham, NC.
Role: Automation Engineer
The client requires the services of an Automation Engineer to support automated deployments, environment hosting and monitoring.
The client seeks contract resources to assist with the support of the Application Development Environment for Families Accessing Services through Technology. This resource will deliver an automated CI/CD solution to support automated deployments, environment hosting and monitoring. This resource will independently manage the workload, coordinate priorities and complete deliverables based on a successful track record of implementing large scale automation in an On-Prem/hybrid cloud infrastructure. This resource will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in DevOps Automation to provide technical support to IT Operations around automation solution usage and troubleshooting, and design, develop and drive a custom modular, reusable-automation CI/CD solution from ground-up to ensure rapid availability of the new technology environments. This role will support building new systems environments and upgrade/patch existing ones through use of automation tooling, as well as be responsible for analyzing infrastructure automation requirements and work hands-on in the development of Infrastructure-As-Code(IAC).

Qualifications:
7 years of Experience in designing and building DevOps automation solutions
7 years of Experience with Configuration Management Tools (Puppet, Ansible, Salt)
7 years of Experience with CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins, TeamCity, UrbanCode Build/Deploy/Release)
7 years of Experience with HashiCorp tooling (Terraform, Packer, Vault)
7 years of Experience in modern programming in at least one or more modern languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, and other common scripting languages)
7 years of Experience with Version Control Systems (SVN, GIT)
7 years of Experienc with infrastructures technologies Hardware, OS, network, storage, firewall, security, Central Logging & Monitoring (Splunk, Solarwinds)
Must have Bachelors degree or equivalent, and five years of related experience
Knowledge of at least one or more containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to work on the Bronto System Engineering Team. This role will require working technical expertise in Linux system administration, performance tuning, hardware as a service, automation development, infrastructure planning, data center best practices and driving maintenance and scale activities with the Linux based infrastructure running the Bronto SaaS platform. This role will be a Leading expert contributor, own and drive projects, provide daily guidance/direction/mentoring and contribute as a technical team member. As a DevOps Engineer, you will solve interesting technical challenges by defining, designing deploying and troubleshooting key Bronto services, platforms, and infrastructure, always thinking about reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance.
