This position will be based out of our Quincy plant. We currently employ over 1,400 individuals and have seen a great increase in headcount over the last two years of 7%. Our average employee tenure is 6.5 years. We are in the nutrition industry and have taken on a niche market and made it our own. What You Will Be Doing

Design, program, commission and maintain process control and automation systems (PLC/DCS) including Human Machine Interface (HMI)
Prepare technical drawings, control system specifications and other documentation to ensure installations and operations conform to all company or industry standards
Plan and execute capital projects/programs by developing budgetary quotes for labor, materials and construction costs for equipment, controls, instrumentation and sensors
Participate in pre-design reviews, specification of equipment and oversee project implementation to assure projects are completed on time and within budget
Determine the causes of process variations including, but not limited to, equipment failures, control problems, process disturbances or plant limitations
Provide training and guidance to maintenance and operations personnel on equipment in order to ensure optimal operation

What You Need for this Position

Minimum 5 years of work experience in industrial control system design (PLC/DCS/HMI) programming and integration
Proven track record of proactively accomplishing assigned goals and objectives
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time while remaining detail oriented
Proficiency in designing control systems for complex automation equipment
Working knowledge of drafting and/or 3D modeling software
Use of statistical process control to achieve continuous process improvement
Understanding of SCADA systems and ERP integration
Working knowledge of process instrumentation and control circuits
Knowledge of industrial commutations protocols (i.e. ModBus, OPC, ControlNet, DeviceNet, & ProfiBus)

This position will primarily contribute to the engineering design and development of current and new products, in our blower and vacuum pump product lines. Job Duties: * Work with multiple displacement (PD) blower and vacuum pump product lines to improve design, performance , and/or the manufacturing process. * Design and/or re-design new and existing product lines. * Produce cost effective designs, complex layouts assemblies, detail parts drawings, and generate associated bills of materials. * Evaluate existing products for re-design based on feedback from manufacturing, quality, or assembly and assess functionality to determine product effectiveness for customers. * Collect product data via reports, manufacturing, assembly, and testing. * Work with team to standardize global PD Blower and Vacuum Pump offering through product rationalization and new product development. * Work closely with Customer Service, Field Service, and Manufacturing personnel to resolve issues regarding legacy and new products. * May be involved in patent applications for new or existing products. Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * 5-7 Years experience-experience with PD Blowers or Vacuum Pumps preferred; must have good mechanical aptitude. In lieu of having blower experience, previous exposure to design of rotating equipment in general would be appreciated. * Solid Modeling CAD skills are essential and AutoDesk Inventor preferred but not required. * Superior analytical skills preferred with excellent communication and organizational skills. * Must be capable to work in a fast paced, creative, results-oriented atmosphere.
