Job Description:

CACI is seeking a Master Systems/Software Engineer experienced with automation and software development, administration, and maintenance functions associated with monitoring, upgrading, and controlling Flexpod enterprise systems hosting classified intelligence data and software applications. This work is in support of the Air Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS). Location of work is Hampton, VA.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Engage in software design principles and software coding best practices.

  • Write code using automation tools, such as Ansible and Powershell.

  • Work with Linux operating systems and command line automation practices, especially RedHat, CentOS, etc.

  • Work collaboratively in an Agile Scrum development environment.

  • Experience with YAML/Powershell.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance.

  • B.S. degree plus 15 + year's of related experience.

  • Security + CE certification.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with automation toolsets, such as Ansible, Puppet, and/or Chef

  • Experience with Powershell and associated languages, such as Ruby and YAML

  • Knowledge of AOC WS operations and VMware

  • Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Host Base Security System (HBSS)

  • Experience with VMware (VCP)

  • Experience with Citrix XenApp

  • Experience with automating Enterprise-level Microsoft applications, such as Active Directoy, SQL, and Exchange

  • Experience with remote configuration management tools

  • Must possess a proven ability to work independently, collaboratively and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment as well as strong customer support skills and strong attention to detail

This program is supporting a new initiative to migrate the current Block 10 data center infrastructure into the cloud, on both AWS and Azure environments. The current Block 10 data center infrastructure consists of 3 racks of servers & storage; networks (core & edge routers & switches), firewalls & other security products, VMWare, both RedHat Linux & Window environments, VDI, et al. This initiative will build out an equivalent data center infrastructure in the cloud, with an accompanying fully-automated IaC pipeline that can build & validate the infrastructure in either an AWS or Azure environment. The Cloud Automation Engineers will be responsible for implementing the automated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and associated pipeline, using Power Shell, Ansible and Terraform and similar tools. While the initial efforts will be hosted in the Unclassified AWS Cloud environment in the future the effort will require access to Secret-level cloud environments, the ability to get a Secret clearance is required, but not required to start in the position. Knowledge & Experience: Highly experienced in Infrastructure as Code in cloud, in both implementing it, and having the wisdom to apply "best practices" so the IaC scripts are modular, extendable, and otherwise very good Proven experience working in Windows environment, required Power Shell, required Ansible, required Terraform (the selected IaC language), desired Experience migrating physical data center architectures to cloud platforms Skilled in AWS and Azure cloud offerings Integrating IaC into overall CI/CD pipeline (currently Concourse) DoD/8570 IAT II certified, required Able to attain a Secret DoD Clearance, required Senior: Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum thirteen (13) years of functional area experience; or Associates degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of functional area experience; or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of functional area experience; or Master's degree with a minimum of seven (7) years of functional area experience.
