Automation Engineer

Actalent is currently hiring Automation Technicians & Engineers in the Kansas City area. Qualified candidates must have some hands on experience programming and/or troubleshooting industrial controls or robotic systems. Building, facilities, and HVAC controls is acceptable. Hands on experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens is preferred but not required. Controls and Automation is one of the most in demand skillsets in the world and these roles will allow you to advance your career within the industry long-term!

Description:

• Provide technical start-up, checkout and programming for Building Automation and Control Systems.

• Start-up of Microprocessor based control components including DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, transducers, and associated components.

• Point-to-point checkout of wiring and components for proper grounding, polarity, communication and power.

• Set up and calibration of input and output devices such as temperature sensors, pressure transducers.

• Identify and troubleshoot HVAC and electrical systems.

• Understand construction schedules and manage QA/QC checklists and commissioning logs.

• Ability to interpret HVAC Sequence Of Operations (SOO) and apply to DDC program logic.

• 4+ years of related experience.

• Associates Degree in Electronic Technology/Automation or related fields is required, Bachelors Degree is preferred.
