Position Description & Details:

Opportunities exist for part-time, non-benefited instructors to teach college-level classes (potential for on-campus and/or online) in the following areas:

  • Operations Management

  • Electronics

  • Geographic Information Systems

  • Engineering Tech

  • Unmanned Aerial Systems

  • Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing

  • Energy Services and Renewable Technician

  • Industrial Automation and Robotics

  • Mechanical Maintenance

  • Instrumentation and Control

  • Nuclear Power

  • Petroleum Production

  • Electric Power

  • Electric Transmission Systems

Other responsibilities include submitting grades by the established deadline and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and/or the Dean of Automation, Energy and Advanced Technologies.

Required Competencies:

  • Degree requirements will vary by discipline

  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.

  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • Good computer software skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, etc., electronic Calendar and E-mail, and strong Internet familiarity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College teaching experience.

  • Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System

  • Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction.
