  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

TRC is seeking a curious and passionate automation developer who is experienced in all phases of the software development project lifecycle (Waterfall & Agile). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development and process automation who is able to build bots from end to end. Experience in the financial services industry is a plus. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing and implementing software robotics and process automation solutions in the broader context of digital transformation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains automation scripts

  • Executes automated tests and validates the results, documenting problems and results

  • Provides estimated labor and determines product delivery schedules

  • Creates and maintains test plans and strategies

  • Performs manual testing when needed depending on project needs and existing automation

  • Creates test cases, data, procedures and raises concerns through appropriate channels, as needed, to facilitate a quality implementation

  • Coordinates all activities in a team environment to drive towards a successful project delivery and meet agreed upon milestones

  • Designs and develops test plans and test cases to ensure and gauge product quality, while effectively minimizing manual testing and leading to more effective code coverage

  • Performs debugging and root cause analysis of product failures and anomalies

  • Designs and develops test automation tools and procedures

  • Identifies and adopts new testing methodologies, best practices and tools from appropriate sources, to improve test coverage

  • Researches new tools and technologies and recommends methods to implement them into new test strategies

  • Recreates steps taken by user to locate source of problem and rewrites program to correct errors

  • Coordinates with operations and app hosting team to apply the changes at each environment and promotes them to PROD as per regular SDLC process.

Armed with data, modeling expertise, and analytic results, the ideal candidate will develop and communicate conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders in Voya's EPMO. The candidate must possess strong business acumen, technology expertise, consulting, communication, visualization, and storytelling skills in order to effectively communicate findings and actionable intelligence to EPMO leaders and customers. This position will: * Provide expertise to create new/improved automation, tooling, and data analytic capabilities to help project, program, and portfolio managers to deliver and execute more effectively, and reduce time spent completing manual, repetitive, administrative tasks. * Identify and execute on opportunities to streamline and simplify by consolidating and automating processes and tools, and building greater analytic capabilities to begin to predict where/when projects may be in trouble and need intervention to course correct. * Prepare, analyze, and understand data to deliver insight, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to optimize results through scorecards, dashboards, and various tools. The ideal candidate will be able to understand Voya systems and processes, determine metrics to track, ensure the integrity of data sources and where data sources are absent, be able to create metrics to develop meaningful scorecards, dashboards, and various tools.
