The Ceramics Group segment of PCC Airfoils and consists of three manufacturing locations - Wickliffe, Ohio, which also serves as Ceramics headquarters, Cleveland, Ohio, and Sanford, NC. The Ceramics Group operations supply ceramic cores and proprietary custom blended ceramic particulate systems used in the manufacturing of the investment castings. Products and systems manufactured in these operations include: custom blended ceramic shell systems, injection molded silica and alumina cores for investment cast airfoils, slurry cast cores for land-based turbine casting applications and ceramic extrusions. The Automation Co-op will:
Support automation engineering group with troubleshooting and issue resolution related to the automation systems.
Assist in the design, development, and qualification of automated processes, equipment, and systems.
Assist in developing and testing code and designing system architectures on continuous improvement and capital projects.
Follow all change management requirements, including updating design documentation, implementing and testing system changes for the site automation systems.
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a qualifying four-year engineering degree program. (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology)
Understanding of voltage, circuits, wiring diagrams and programming.
Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Must be organized and work well with constant priority changes.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience with MS Office products and AutoCad
Experience with computer software programming preferred.
