Sinclair Community College seeks to attract an academically and culturally diverse faculty that carries out the mission of the college with dedication, innovation and commitment to the success of each student. Sinclair is currently seeking people interested in part-time (adjunct) teaching for day, evening, online and weekend courses at our Downtown campus; Courseview campus in Mason, Ohio; and Englewood, Huber Heights, and Centerville Learning Centers.
The Automation & Control Technology with Robotics program focuses on installation and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems, industrial programming for control applications, and state-of-the-art mechanical and robotic systems installation, modification and repair.

Principal Accountabilities
Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department
Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning
Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate
Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student's needs
Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
Maintain accurate records of student progress
Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
Maintain confidentiality of student information
Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester
Requirements
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, a related area, OR must meet the specific requirements associated with Tested Experience.
Tested Experience Requirements:
A minimum of a high school diploma required AND
Five years of experience in a field specifically related to the course to be taught AND
An active journeyman's card
Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred
A demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level
Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community
Ability to teach courses in robotics and/or controls is preferred
Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction
Industry experience is preferred
