POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.

Janicki Industries is at the forefront of the aeronautics and space industry. We are involved with nearly every current major aircraft and space program. Our automation and controls group plays a critical role in building and developing the machines, software, and processes that enable Janicki to serve our customers. We are a dynamic company that is constantly evolving and growing to meet new challenges.

We are looking for a talented engineer, with a mechanical or electrical engineering background, to join us in working with our production teams to solve problems and build new capabilities. Can you help us with the following essential functions of the job?

The following essential job functions are performed:

  • Imagine how things could be better. We look at the current production workflow and try to identify ways we can solve problems and make the company better.

  • Make Plans. We use solid engineering principles to design a system and select the parts to sense, control, and actuate our designs. We use our project management skills to develop the schedule and budget to accomplish our goals.

  • Build Stuff. We are hands-on and like to tinker. We help build the designs we make and manage them throughout the build process.

  • Make things work. We program controllers, build displays for operators, design and implement communication networks, and get things working like they should.

  • Keep things working. Once the design is up and running, we help the operators and maintenance crews keep it running.

  • Figure out how to do it better. Because we are often involved in the equipment and process from inception, there is great opportunity to sharpen our skills and improve for our future designs. We are constantly learning and incorporating new technology into our work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
