Job Summary:

Develops and deploys technologies and standardized processes specific to accounting and related fields. Learns, utilizes, develops, and deploys automated technologies such robotic process automation (RPA) for month-end close, reconciliation, report processing, and other transactional activities. Designs solutions for automation projects as determined by manager. Assists automation team in developing standard best practice processes to maintain accurate and complete financial information and reporting. Understands accounting concepts and performs some limited month-end close activity through automated tools.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate's/Technical Degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required

  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred

  • Three years' relevant experience: Preferred

  • Knowledge of automation technologies and experience with robotic process automation: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and deploys robotic process automation software to automate transactional tasks such as building and loading journal entries for month-end close, uploading support to balance sheet reconciliation software, downloading and saving various reports required on a routine basis for support or analysis, assist in search of accounts payable for various invoices, and check for financial accuracy among other things. Takes projects as determined by other staff and leadership.

  • Collaborates with manager and automation team members to build automation and standard processes within the set of need and guidelines established by team leadership. Evaluates and compares current process to future state, including process mapping and documentation, and deploys automation software to improve speed and accuracy of financial process.

  • Assists in evaluating projects to and priorities and helps tracks hours of work saved on completed projects as directed by senior team members or manager.

  • Researches, tests, and collaborates with team on emerging technology solutions in the automation space.

  • Makes recommendations to automation team on software needs.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
