Education Requirement

  • Associate degree from an automated systems and mechatronics, electrical/mechanic systems or fluid power program.

Occupational Experience Requirement

  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automated systems and mechatronics, electrical/mechanic, or fluid power.

Recency Requirement

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college.

  • A background in industrial electronics, digital electronics, ac and dc voltages, single and 3 phase voltages. Ladder logic and control circuitry, motors and motor drives, dc and ac VFD's, open and closed loop servo systems.

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C and C++, computer operating systems and common software applications, programmable logical controllers, HMI device programming along with industrial networking of robot controllers and related equipment, machine vision, and other programmable sensors.

  • Field service engineering with a progression to a leadership role such as service manager or project management, application and programming of industrial robotic welding cells, robotic machine tending cells, robotic palletizing, and robotic assembly cells.

  • Experience specifying, destining and programming PLC, HMI and servo-driven high-speed machinery.

  • Experience specifying, designing and programming vision guided robotic part pick and inspection, including applications utilizing line tracking.

  • Demonstrate high level of cultural competency and ability to building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aligning with CLC's Culture of Caring environment.
