AutoZone's Part-Time Auto Parts Delivery Driver performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe delivery of parts to and from commercial customers. In addition, this AutoZoner will be required to perform duties inside our stores, driving, and at our customers' place of business. Drivers are responsible for ensuring maximum productivity in a safe environment, increasing commercial sales, and ensuring compliance with company procedures in accordance to AutoZone's expectations. The incumbent will exceed customer's expectations by delivering WOW! Customer Service to all AZ Commercial accounts.


  • Provides WOW! Customer Service

  • Utilizes ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives

  • Adheres to AutoZone dress code

  • Follows all company policies, procedures and management direction, including all fleet and safety policies

  • Ensures commercial products are delivered on time and in excellent condition

  • Drives delivery vehicle to transport parts to Commercial customers, including the loading and unloading of parts

  • Maintains a safe driving and working environment, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  • Picks up parts from nearby stores and outside vendors

  • Ensure appropriate delivery documentation is generated and issued for each delivery, then appropriately filed at the AutoZone store

  • Follows proper accident procedures

  • Properly maintains vehicle(s) and takes the necessary steps to report vehicle maintenance issues

  • Ensures that assigned company vehicle is kept clean and presentable

  • Builds long term professional relationships with the customers

  • Handles cash transactions, charge transactions, and core/part returns per company policy and guidelines

  • Inspects, protects, and maintains company assets, merchandise, and vehicles

  • Assists DIY customers between deliveries by performing the following duties:

  • Utilizes OBDII to read codes from customer's automobiles

  • Practices GOTTChA and assists with the installation of wipers blades, batteries and light bulbs

  • Maintains product knowledge and current promotions through AutoZone systems and information sources

  • Maintains store appearance and merchandising standards as directed

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required

  • Excellent communication and decision making skills

  • Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the business needs, including holidays, evenings and weekend shifts

  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet AutoZone's driving requirements

  • Drivers 21 years or older

VIEW JOBS 10/27/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-25T00:00 Aviation Parts Supervisor Req #: 2543 Location: Vandalia, OH Facility: Vandalia (Dayton International Airport) Job Family: Supply Chain - Inventory Control Aviation Parts Supervisor Location: Dayton, OH Department: Maintenance Reports to: Stores Manager Summary/Objective: The Stores Supervisor assists the Stores Manager in leading the stores team at his/her base to maintain proper inventory levels along with the proper receiving, inspecting, shipping, and/or storage of materials used in support of PSA fleet operations. This is done in accordance with the established corporate policies and procedures and FAA requirements. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The Stores Supervisor assists the Stores Manager to complete the following activities in a timely manner per established company guidelines and performs all roles assigned by the Stores Manager in his/her absence: * Performs the Receiving, Inspection, and binning of the daily deliveries of materials and shipment of repairs and stock transfers within established standards and times and assures that the team performs at a high level as well. * Ensures that all materials requested by the maintenance technicians are provided promptly to support line, overnight, and heavy check operations. * Trains the team in all aspects of Stockroom operations that are applicable to their respective job classifications.This includes, but is not limited to computerized management and issuance of materials, hazmat training, shelf life training, cycle counting, as well as storage, packaging, receiving, of materials and disposal of hazardous, scrap or BER materials per established company guidelines. * Updates training records and monitors recurrent training requirements, to ensure that the team is current on all training related to the department and provides regular updates to the Stores Manager. * Provides input for the Stores Manager and assists him/her as required in the performance reviews for the Stores Team using established PSA company guidelines. * Drafts schedules if assigned by the Stores Manager to assure that there adequate to support PSA fleet activity at all times. * Trains Stores Clerks in the proper procedures to ensure that parts/materials are properly stored, segregated, and labelled, and that they comply with current Shelf Life Programs and hazardous materials storage guidelines. * Ensures that all activities relative to AOG and after hour AOG support are carried out in the most safe, expeditious, and economical way possible. * Ensures that parts are transferred to other store locations in a timely and effective manner to support the PSA fleet. * Ensures that parts and equipment that are requisitioned by supervisors, are ordered in a timely manner in after hour and AOG situations. * Ensures that material inspection of incoming parts is in accordance with procedures as determined by the Chief Inspector and that rejected materials are tagged and stored per the established guidelines. * Establishes and manages the inventory control program to ensure accurate identification and retrieval of parts/materials in support of the PSA fleet requirements. * Other projects as assigned. Work Environment: This job operates approximately 90% of the time inside a climate controlled building and approximately 10% of the time outside in all types of weather.
