ADESA Sarasota is looking for automotive mechanic professionals! If you come with experience in performing proper vehicle diagnosis, repairs and maintenance, we would love to hear from you! Reporting to the Mechanical Services Manager or designee, perform proper diagnosis, repairs and maintenance to vehicles as assigned. Maintain consistently high standards for technical efficiency, make quality repairs and diagnostics while observing all safety requirements. Perform all duties assigned. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.

Day in the Life
Our mechanics provide prompt and courteous service and maintain a professional appearance and tidy work environment always. Notify the manager on any delays or discrepancies in repair estimates. Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise management of all serious complaints or incidents. Perform assigned vehicle diagnostic repairs or maintenance specific to the shop and/or factory standards and request assistance when needed. Recommend any additional repairs and/or maintenance to manager. Properly complete all work orders per company standards. Look up parts to perform repair or maintenance services. Use parts in stock whenever possible and order parts from outside vendors when required. Save and tag warranty parts or cores for return to vendor. Test and recheck all repairs and road test all comebacks as assigned. Maintain a safe work environment and advise management of all equipment breakdowns and maintenance immediately. Practice and promote teamwork at all times by setting a good example of attitude and performance. Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report incident to the manager or designee.
High School Diploma or GED and mechanical certifications are preferred
ASE certifications preferred
Require one (1) to three (3) years of experience in the field or in a related area
Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license
Must provide sufficient tools to perform the job
Physical Working Condition:
This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards, such as electrical, mechanical equipment and cleaning, body shop and painting chemicals; and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with mechanic or body shop and paint operations.
