JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Fleet Maintenance Foreman, this position performs routine mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair and/or installation/replacement of minor component parts of all motorized vehicles and equipment; checks all fluid levels in vehicles, performs lube, oil and filter changes, performs engine tune ups, and maintains accurate records for the same; conducts safety inspections and conducts road and equipment tests; steam cleans and paints vehicles and equipment; other related duties. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 4, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $30.34.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or certified equivalent; experience in lieu of education will be considered
Minimum of one year relevant work experience
Must be certified to perform State of NH Vehicle Safety Inspections
ASE certifications or related equivalent a plus
Candidate must provide his/her own hand tools
