What You'll Get

  • Competitive weekly base pay starting at $19.75/hour, increasing to $21.50/hour after training and certification.

  • Potential to earn up to $24/hour as a Senior Tech and up to $27/hour as a Master Tech.

What You'll Do

  • Learn to replace & repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands on) with a focus on the Safelite's installation standards under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.

  • Learn to recalibrate vehicle safety systems utilizing Safelite tools, materials and processes.

  • Learn and demonstrate proficiency on Safelite's tools and technologies.

  • Offer additional products and services to customers.

  • Consistently deliver service so great, it's memorable.

  • Safely and professionally operate a company vehicle to and from customer sites throughout the workday.

What You'll Need

  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Valid state-issued driver's license required.

  • The ability to operate a Safelite van, following all safety, cleanliness policies, traffic laws, and maintain a safe driving record.

  • Flexibility with hours and days trained/worked, as workloads fluctuate.

  • Comfort working outside in a variety of weather conditions.

  • Present a professional appearance and wear personal protective equipment.

  • Physical requirements: lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. for short periods, working at elevated heights, safely using windshield adhesives, and remaining on your feet for extended periods.

  • High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent preferred; ability to read, write and interpret technical directions required.

VIEW JOBS 6/20/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-09-18T00:00 Job Description Position Purpose: Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for the evaluation and repair of small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. This position makes equipment recommendations and ensures that units are maintained. Technicians work in both our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers. In a store, technicians will be expected to provide service to store customers in Tool Rental which includes writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking to make sure tool is operating properly and demonstrating its proper use (as needed). In addition to supporting customer repair needs, they are also responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non-store locations, technicians will ensure units are repaired, tested for the quality of the repair and cleaned prior to returning to the store where the repair originated. Technicians must have a thorough knowledge of all tools and must effectively manage the tool inventory by maintaining the tools and repairing them as necessary. Home Depot Norristown PA
