Get a sneak peek into life at ADESA!Role and Team * Reporting to the Body Shop Manager or designated supervisor, the Paint Technicians perform painting and refinishing of repaired vehicles while maintaining high standards for efficiency and observing all safety requirements. Perform all additional duties assigned by the Body Shop Supervisor or Manager. Must know, practice, and ensure that company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws are followed always.Responsibilities * Reviews repair plan R.O. as assigned * Repairs vehicles per R.O. and in accordance with OEM standards * Inspects body work for imperfections prior to surface prep * If necessary, may be required to paint prep * Performs mold release preparation on raw plastic bumpers as necessary * Properly mixes and performs proper color matching * Applies base and clear coat to assigned areas including blending and feathering as required * Inspects refinish areas for imperfections and addresses each as necessary * Manages the collection, disposal, and storage of hazmat's * Maintains spray booth and equipment * Maintains and wears all required safety and health PPE* Other duties as assignedQualifications * Experience in an automotive body shop required.* i-CAR certifications preferred. * Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. * Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license. * Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. * Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.ADESA Benefits and PerksCompetitive Pay | Quality Benefits | Holiday and Paid Time Off | Education and Equipment Reimbursement Programs | Matching 401(k) | Career Path Opportunities | And More!Other RequirementsTo be able to do your job at ADESA, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.
