Short Description

Financially clears scheduled inpatient and outpatient services, including office visits, testing, diagnostic studies, surgeries and procedures, prior to date of service. Financial clearance process encompasses any or all of the following job functions:

  • Verifies insurance eligibility and plan benefits.

  • Contacts patients with inactive insurance coverage to obtain updated insurance information

  • Validates coordination of benefits between insurance carriers.

  • Explains insurance plan coverage and benefits to patients, as necessary.

  • Secures insurance authorizations and pre-certs for patient services both internal and external to Cooper.

  • Creates referrals for patients having a Cooper PCP. Contacts external PCPs to obtain referrals for patients scheduled with Cooper providers.

  • Refers patients with less than 100% coverage to Financial Screening Navigators.

  • Identifies copayment, deductible and co-insurance information.

  • Collects and processes patient liability payments prior to service.

Provides clear and concise documentation in systems.

Communicates daily with insurance companies, internal customers, providers and patients.

Special Requirements

Scheduled Days / Hours: m-f830a-5p
2 years insurance verification or registration experience in a hospital or physician office preferred.

Working knowledge of medical insurance plans & products, coordination of benefits guidelines, and requirements for authorizations, pre-certifications and referrals preferred.

Proficiency in working with payor on-line portals, as well as NaviNet, Passport or other third party eligibility systems preferred.

Proficiency in IDX Flowcast, Imagecast, and EPIC EMR systems preferred

VIEW JOBS 1/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-12T00:00 Overview Regional Instructional Specialist: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)/ Intellectual Disabilities (ID) Regional Instructional Specialist (RIS): The Regional Instructional Specialist (RIS) for the ASD/ID Model serves three primary roles as a member of the Catapult Schools ACI Team* (Assessment, Curriculum, & Instruction). The goal of the Catapult Schools ACI Team is to create MODEL programs company-wide based on the latest research-based "best practices" for assessment, curriculum, and instruction. The Regional Instructional Specialist reports directly to the Senior Vice-President Academics. Regional Vice-Presidents and Regional Directors work in coordination with the RIS to determine ACI priorities for individual schools. Responsibilities Specific roles for the ASD/ID RIS include: Develop processes, procedures, and technical assistance tools to be used school-wide consistent with research-based best practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (ID).Collaborate with identified advisory teams (consisting of expert staff in the field of ASD and ID) in the development of the model and process tools (i.e. manual, forms, etc.).Support individual schools in the development of model programs through expert professional development and collaboration with RIS regionally. In addition to acting in this capacity, the Regional Instructional Specialist will conduct regular on-site school visits to provide guidance on a variety of resources and ensure quality control and implementation. Other Responsibilities: Participate in the development and implementation of regional professional development,Attend periodic meetings for Regional Instructional Specialists.Assist schools in analyzing all assessment data and, subsequently, collaborate with school directors with to make instructional decisions based on data.Collaborate with Senior Vice-President Academics, Director of Web Technology & School Support, and Director of Quality Assurance, as needed, to make data-based decisions and select appropriate materials.Utilize Educational Quality Index (EQI) data to identify ACI priorities for each school. * Catapult Schools ACI Team: SVP, Academics; Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Web-Based Technology & School Support; Regional Instructional Specialists Qualifications Applicants must be certified in Special Education. Experience working with students with ASD/ID is required. Additional training and certification in methods of Applied Behavioral Analysis is preferred. Applicants must be willing to travel on a regular basis across the country to work with staff in specific schools. Experience providing PD for teachers on appropriate strategies and interventions is also preferred for this position. Catapult Learning Camden NJ
