Job Description:

Serve as the Auditor on utility depreciation for the Public Service Commission and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

This position serves as the PSC/LARA auditor for all utility depreciation issues.

This position will be asked to coordinate and work with Commissioners and other divisions within the Michigan Public Service Commission, as the auditor for utility depreciation. Areas of primary responsibility include formulation of procedures for implementing depreciation rate case audits and providing expert testimony and recommendations in utility depreciation and rate cases.

This position will also be asked to prepare and present audit findings in formal proceedings. Depreciation expense and the outcome of the work of the Auditor on utility depreciation is a significant part of each electric and natural gas utility rate case.

Required Education and Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting.

Experience

Auditor 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Auditor 10

One year of professional experience auditing accounting, financial, and operations records equivalent to an Auditor 9.

Auditor P11

Two years of professional experience auditing accounting, financial, and operations records equivalent to an Auditor, including one year equivalent to an Auditor 10.

Auditor 12

Three years of professional experience auditing accounting, financial, and operations records equivalent to an Auditor, including one year equivalent to an Auditor P11.
