Position Description
ABOUT THE COURT:
Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 36 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,800 full-time Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $1 billion. Located in Southern California, Los Angeles County is geographically one of the nation's largest counties, covering 4,752 square miles and, with over 10,400,000 residents, is also one of its most populous counties.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Auditors conducts moderately complex professional audits and investigations with the purpose of evaluating the Courts' operations and processes to ensure that internal controls are in place to safeguard the Court's assets against fraud, employee misconduct, or inappropriate financial practices.
Auditors are also tasked with conducting internal investigations into employee fraud or misconduct, interviewing personnel, analyzing data, reviewing accounting processes, identifying problems, and proposing solutions, drafting detailed reports, and communicating with various stakeholders including court management and law enforcement officials.

TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIES
This position may be eligible for partial telework following an initial training period contingent upon the Court's operational unit.*
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify, you must meet one of the following requirements at the time of application:
Option I: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 21 semester units or 32 quarter units of accounting courses, including a course in auditing- AND - one (1) year of auditing experience conducting financial, operations, compliance, information systems, performance, or program audits in accordance with uniform auditing standards.
Option II: Five (5) years of auditing experience conducting financial, operations, compliance, information systems, performance, or program audits in accordance with uniform auditing standards.
EDUCATION VERIFICATION
To receive credit, a legible copy of your college diploma- OR- transcript(s) (unofficial are acceptable) detailing the degree conferred and the name of the educational institution- OR- transcript(s) with 21 semester units or 32 quarter units of accounting courses, including a course in auditing must be attached to your online application. Otherwise, your application materials will be deemed incomplete and rejected accordingly. Foreign studies must be evaluated by an academic credential evaluation agency and deemed to be equivalent to degrees from the United States.
