Huntington Bank's Internal Audit Department is searching for an Auditor with a passion for identifying and mitigating business risk. Learning to serve as an advisor to your audit engagement stakeholders, the Auditor will develop business, industry and regulatory knowledge becoming a solid line of defense against threats who is trusted by colleagues across the bank and external regulators.

From initial scope to final report, you will assist Audit Project Managers in coordinating operational audits that ensure Huntington's control environment supports sustainable compliance with policies, procedures, and laws. You will collaborate with colleagues across the Internal Audit Department and the wider organization to learn key business processes, test and document results, and communicate with your stakeholders.

The Auditor will:

  • Be challenged to meet deadlines, directly interact with key members of management, and provide dynamic feedback to actively improve evolving processes.

  • Assist with planning, executing, and reporting of multiple audit engagements and interact with management during audit engagements.

  • Perform audits in accordance with department and professional standards.

  • Interact with Business Unit and IT Auditors while performing their responsibilities.

  • Plan and execute control and substantive testing and evaluate audit results to determine if issues exist and improvement recommendations are necessary.

  • Develop key management relationships for ongoing monitoring of their business areas.

  • Assist in the execution of audit engagements, which requires the candidate to have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to, monitor audit engagement progress to meet deadlines and interact with management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Business.

  • Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CRCM, ACAMS, etc.) or progress toward/eligibility for certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of core banking processes, accounting standards, banking regulations, and applicable regulatory guidance.

  • Satisfactorily completed at least 1 internship involving accounting, business, or finance.

  • Strong analytical, PC, and internet skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of individuals across the organization.

  • Conflict management experience.

The Auditor will rotate amongst the Shipping Department, both Picking and Packing functions. When auditing for Picking, this person will be responsible for recording shortages, overages, and improperly wrapped and packaged picks prior to the box being sent to packaging. Responsibilities for auditing Packing include verifying proper packaging, paperwork, and presentation. The objective of this role is to ensure that the Picking and Packing functions of the facility are meeting customer fulfillment objectives while improving customer satisfaction. This individual will also be required to cycle count, as needed, in primary pick locations and A level racking.</p><p>Essential Job Functions:</p><ul><li><p>Audit Shipping Department, both Picking and Packing, in their respective duties for accuracy.</p></li><li><p>Track and enter audit results in spreadsheets and the WMS system.</p></li><li><p>Notify employees when errors are committed.</p></li><li><p>Organize, file, and box appropriate paperwork as needed.</p></li><li><p>Provides inventory and cycle counting as needed.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to cross-train in other functions.</p></li><li><p>Performs any other duties deemed necessary by management.</p></li></ul><p>Required Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or GED</p></li><li><p>Proficient typing speed and accuracy</p></li><li><p>Must be able to learn both the Picking and Packing processes.</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of a Windows based PC and the warehouse management system JDA</p></li><li><p>Self-starter with the ability to work with little direct supervision</p></li><li><p>Must possess the ability to work well with others and under restrictive deadlines at times.</p></li><li><p>Must be flexible in job duties and be able to perform a variety of tasks upon request.</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li>3+ months previous warehouse experience</li></ul><p>Physical Requirements:</p><ul><li>*Must be able to always (95% - 100%) lift and maneuver 10 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.</li><li>*Must be able to frequently (65% - 90%) lift and maneuver 15 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.</li><li>*Must be able to often (35% - 60%) lift and maneuver 30 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.</li><li>*Must be able to occasionally (5% - 30%) lift and maneuver 50 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.</li><li>*Must be able to often (35% - 60%) walk and stand for the 8-hour shift.</li><li>*Must be able to climb and descend a flight of stairs for a minimum of 15 times per 8-hour shift.</li></ul><p>Travel Requirements:</p><ul><li><p>On-site critical position.
