Job Description

The Audit Manager oversees the internal and external audit processes for the Health System. The Audit Manager works on or may lead highly complex projects of large scope and provides solutions.

The Audit Manager plays a key role in ensuring the month and year end financial statement close process is maintained and audited financial statements are in accordance with GAAP and GASB. This position assists in strategic reporting as it relates to the Health System and Medical Center initiatives.

The Audit Manager performs as a subject matter expert when identified as a resource required for projects and strategic requests and acts as key a resource for financial and operational management, product line committees, operational improvement teams, and strategic initiatives.

This position is responsible for accounting projects involving high business risk, scope and impact to the organization. This position is recognized across the organization for expertise and sought as a source for resolution of unique or the most complex financial problems.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Financial Reporting. The Audit Manager works with Staff, Controllers, Directors, Business Unit leadership.

The Audit Manager requires a comprehensive understanding of accounting concepts and pronouncements, excellent computer skills and model building, and the ability to create and present information to all levels of management. Previous healthcare accounting and finance experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of relevant experience in advanced accounting; CPA desired.
