Work you'll do

As an Audit Growth Senior Specialist, you will be an integral part of the team that develops and implements targeted audit growth strategies and initiatives in support of growing Deloitte's Audit & Assurance business in the East region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborates with internal resources to identify and request research to help educate client service teams on targets

  • Supports Audit Growth Senior Managers/Managers in strategy development for individual

  • markets, as well as supporting sales pursuit activities and opportunities

  • Assists with reporting, target list management/updates, and web-based tool management

  • Assists with/leads the creation of client facing meeting documents

  • Liaises with audit regional and local leaders and audit growth team on new opportunities

  • Coordinates and contributes to team projects to promote a growth culture

  • Collaborates with Audit Growth and Pursuit managers in responding to RFPs

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience in sales, business development, pursuits or marketing, preferably in a large, matrixed organization

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects & deadlines

  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills

  • Strong skills in Microsoft suite Word, Power Point, and Excel (required) and Salesforce (preferred)

  • Comfortable engaging with all levels of an organization

Job Description The Director, Asset Management is generally responsible for maximizing value of the portfolio through executing property-level strategies and is responsible for property-level performance with accountability for property management, leasing, development, tenant relations and staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for portfolios within Manulife/John Hancock's U.S. Real Estate holdings, which may include both third-party and general account assets, and has a strong background and experience in commercial real estate with an emphasis on office and industrial properties. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Work closely with property management, leasing teams/agents, project managers, development managers to provide direction for and oversight of business plans, appraisals, budgets, forecasts, leases, renewals, analysis and approvals * Maximize total return for each assigned asset through the analysis of property efficiencies and identifying value-add opportunities for improved performance * When required, participate in leases and third party contracts * Understand cash flow, distribution analysis and develop investment projections * Review quarterly financials/operating statements, variance reports and monitor investment performance * Develop and distribute periodic asset management reports for Senior Management as well as modeling financial analysis for each asset from acquisition through disposition * Assess impact of prospective tenant leases and capital improvement projects on building valuation * When required, provide pre-acquisition input and assistance in due diligence process, including review of financial and operational assumptions * Source and analyze market research, undertake thorough research on select properties/markets * Develop strong relationships within the real estate industry to ascertain market and asset trends to ensure asset performs in top rankings among competitors * Prepare and present property level information for external investors as needed. * Identify opportunities to improve quality and content of investor reporting * Assist in special and ad hoc projects as required i.e. portfolio real estate tax and Insurance programs Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education: * CFA designation, MBA and/or graduate degree in finance/real estate preferred. Completion of real estate related designations (brokerage license, Chartered Realty Investor, CRE, etc.) desirable. * Knowledge and applied professional understanding of the principles and practices of institutional investment management, capital markets, and portfolio analysis as it relates to Real Estate, with a minimum of 8-10 years of asset-level experience, preferably working for a third party advisory company. Knowledge of domestic and global commercial real estate trends. * Ability to develop investment strategies and provide recommendations for changes or enhancements to improve investment objectives. Ability to integrate top down and bottom up perspectives into investment recommendations. * Strong analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative). Strong risk assessment skills.
