Audit Analyst

Summary

The Audit Analyst shall be responsible for performing assigned audit projects as part of the overall audit plan, including evaluating existing internal control documentation, testing current processes and procedures, and providing recommendations.

Essential Functions

• Conduct quality performance analysis of different departments

• Proven ability to perform and control the full audit cycle

• Strong sense of commitment to compliance with all applicable directives and regulations

• Verify the accuracy and compliance of documents, processes and operating logs with company procedures and client requirements

• Test compliance with various federal and state regulations

• Review and analyze automated reports for trends and recommend corrective actions

• Effectively and independently complete scheduled audits and follow-up if necessary

• Work closely with all company departments to obtain accurate data and reliable information

• Excellent communication and presentation skills needed to present reports that reflect the audit's results and document the process

• Accessibility and willingness to act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and achievement of goals

• Prepare analytical reports for submittal to senior management

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or information technology required.

• Previous experience in auditing IT controls is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Willingness to demonstrate leadership skills and make sound independent judgments

• Ability to consistently and accurately manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed, clear reports

• Ability to learn industry standards
