The Audio Visual Technician's primaryrole is to assist in the set up and operation ofaudio visual equipment. Works with LeadAudio Visual Technician to ensure that complete customer satisfaction isachieved and is accountable for all inventory before, during and after eachevent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operates film, slide, video, data projectors, audio equipment, andlighting equipment to project or produce still or moving pictures, backgroundmusic, oral commentary, to illustrate, clarify, or enhance impact of apresentation.

Coordinates equipment operation with material presented, according tonotations in script or instructions of speaker.

Maintains equipment in working condition.

Makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment, and notifiesmaintenance personnel when correction of major malfunction is required.

Positions, installs, and connects equipment such as microphones,amplifiers, and lights.

Provide outstanding customer service.

Contribute to the effective management of day to day operationsaccording to company procedures.

Timely and accurate set up and strike of equipment forclient functions according to company guidelines.

Continuallyimprove audiovisual skill and knowledge.

Otherduties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.

Candidates may have a working knowledge ofbasic a/v equipment and experience with an audiovisual company, theaterproduction, television, radio station, church or college audiovisual mediadepartment, hospital audiovisual department.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simpleinstructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groupsituations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, anddivide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentand to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common senseunderstanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oralinstructions. Ability to deal with problemsinvolving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications


Sandestin Golf and BeachResort is open and operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Employees arerequired to be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

License Requirements

Valid driver's license that has been in effect for at least three years,with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the pastthree years.
