LOCATION: Austin, TX (Round Rock area)

CONTEXT:   The AudiovIsual Project Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation and execution of audio visual integration projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals within agreed timelines and within agreed budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the Installation department for the local market to ensure all jobs are completed with optimal results in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service is provided to internal and external clients by supporting the organization’s strategic goals, while constantly measuring processes/procedures to improve the overall profitability of operations.
  • Manage all phases of AV installations/projects including budgetary requirements.
  • Supervise field teams and motivate, praise, mentor and coach on performance issues.
  • Manage project scheduling and identify and solve issues that will impact the project and schedule.
  • Provide regular project updates/communication with Clients, Sales, and Operations.
  • Oversee the coordination of metrics/completion/updates of all installation projects.
  • Participate in contract process and project administration when needed/required.
  • Ensure that project deliverables and milestones are met, including close out documentation and punch list items.
  • Attend construction meetings.
  • Perform pre-installation site surveys.
  • Maintain and authorize/complete material stock/order.
  • Quality control/check on finished product/projects including testing.
  • Post project walkthrough with client communicating system performance to the customer.
  • Possible assistance with actual installation of products/services when needed.
  • Assist with product returns and change order process.
  • Help define and work with management on AV installation best practices and refine associated procedures, templates, tools, and documentation.
  • Assure field team is adhering to all safety guidelines, as required by the Company and Customer.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of AV installation and field experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing large, high-profile projects and crews.
  • Have basic accounting principles, account receivables, and payables.
  • Adept at reading blueprints and associated building information.
  • Ability to rapidly understand business objectives and combine them with a deep understanding of project management to create, sell, and drive effective solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers across all departments.
  • Understanding of customer needs; excellent communication and follow-through necessary to satisfy customer requests.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with a demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Leader who is able to align, direct, motivate, and grow teams and clients.
  • Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Able to drive/operate a vehicle.
