Job Summary: Administers diagnostic audiological tests that allow the differentiation between types of hearing disorders, coordinates and interprets test results and consults with and makes recommendations on hearing disorders to physicians.

Essential Responsibilities: Provides diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation and rehabilitation services for auditory problems and research relating to hearing and attendant disorders. Physically and otoscopically examines the outer structures of the ear.

Procedures may include appropriate ear cleaning evaluation, fitting and dispensing of hearing aids; cochlear implant assessment, programming and rehabilitation; and electrophysiologic evaluation of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms, in addition to electroacoustic measures of the peripheral and central auditory systems. Counsels individuals with auditory disorders, their families and other service providers regarding the etiology of the disorder and its management. Provides reports and coordinates audiological results with other diagnostic data such as educational, medical, social and behavioral information.

Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. At any time, Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions, or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status. Such changes are generally implemented only after notice is given to affected employees.

Secondary Functions: Mon and Tue full days, and Wed AM. Basic Qualifications:

Experience N/A Education Masters degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date. License, Certification, Registration Audiologist License (California) required at hire OR Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire National Provider Identifier required at hire Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association Additional Requirements: Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

If dispensing hearing aids, a Dispensing Audiologist license is required. Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of post-licensure experience in the field of audiology.
