1.Au.D. (or grandfathered M.S.) degree in Audiology
2.Licensure by Montana Board of Speech Pathologists and Audiologists
REPORTS TO: Exec. Director of Special Education
JOB GOAL: Provide audiological services to students and area preschoolers. The
program will operate in accordance with the Office of Public Instruction Guidelines for
the Educational Hearing Conservation Program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (may include but not limited to the following):
2.Training audiometric assistant/technician. Supervision per Licensure Board
3.Advising and consulting with audiometric technician and school personnel.
4.Review screening/re-screening results and make appropriate referrals.
5.Child find hearing screenings, and hearing screenings for preschoolers enrolled
in the public schools.
6.Participate in Evaluation Report (ER) IEP and 504 meetings.
7.Teacher in-service and consultation.
8.Tracking results from hearing screenings, evaluations and students who require
9.Monitor students using amplification, monitor FM/HAT systems.
10. Hearing Conservation Program oversight in a manner considered 'traditional' in
the State of Montana.
11. Equipment calibration and maintenance oversight.
