Key Position Details:

  • Full Time 1.0 FTE Audiology position primarily at our Apple Valley Clinic location

  • 8 AM - 4:30 PM M-F

  • Hearing tests: 60 mins

  • ENT/Audios: 30 mins

  • Hearing aid consults and fittings: 60 mins

  • Hearing aid rechecks: 30 mins

  • No call and no weekend work

  • 24 Audiologists system-wide

Job Description:

Provides diagnostic and therapeutic audiology services by selecting and administering behavioral, electrophysiological and other relevant tests, determining type and degree of hearing impairment and effects on comprehension and speech. Establishes treatment goals, fits hearing aides and other assistive devices and counsels patients and families.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care

  • Provides audiologic services to diagnose hearing loss and provide appropriate management.

  • Assesses patient's hearing status to determine appropriate medical/surgical treatment and/or auditory rehabilitation.

  • Performs and interprets electrophysiologic testing.

  • Provides diagnostic information and confirmation of behavioral test results on children.

  • Hearing instrumentation management

  • Evaluates, fits and repairs hearing instruments.

  • Counsels patients regarding hearing aid use.

  • Manages the hearing aid dispensary.

  • Connect with outside referral sources regarding audiological management for optimal patient habilitation

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational degree Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • 0 to 2 years experience providing diagnostic evaluations and recommendations to patients of all ages
  • 0 to 2 years knowledge and interest in hearing aid fitting and dispensing procedures

Licenses/Certifications

  • Board Certification by the American Board of Audiology upon hire required

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence received from American Speech and Hearing Association upon hire required

  • Audiology Licensure received from Minnesota Department of Health upon hire required if working in MN

  • Audiology Licensure received from Wisconsin Department of Health upon hire required if working in WI
