Overview
The Lynnwood Event Center strives to provide excellent guest service through our principles of being professional, resourceful, accommodating and precise, while always being safe. We are looking for an experienced audiovisual aprofessional who models these values in their work behavior, decision making, personal contributions, and guest interactions. This position shall provide audio visual services for the venue including convention audio visual, production for live events, live streaming services, IT services for events, and other technical services.
This role will pay an hourly salary of $31/hour.

About the Venue
Lynnwood Event Center, previously Lynnwood Convention Center, is a vibrant venue located 15 miles north of downtown Seattle. With sweeping mountain views and a short ride by car to the Puget Sound, we offer our clients and guests more than the typical meeting space. Built in 2005, we currently have 34,000 square feet of meeting space that stays busy year round and we're looking forward to a future expansion that will include additional indoor and outdoor event spaces and a remodel of our existing space. Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Set up and strike various audiovisual equipment and components for events
Operate and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment prior to and during scheduled events
Meet and greet presenters prior to start of event
Act as a dedicated Audiovisual Technician for events when needed, operating multiple components including lights, mixer board, slides and videos
Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs of audiovisual equipment
Maintain inventory of equipment and consumables
Pre and post events and rehearsals with clients, presenters, and event managers
Guidance on equipment lifecycle, purchases and projects as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
Attend weekly event planning meeting
Schedule team members according to event and building needs
Supervise room conversions
Delegate tasks to other members of the crew to ensure efficient completion of work
Review teams' daily tasks and project work for quality assurance
Fill out daily work logs for each shift and submit to Director of Operations
Assist with training and development of new team members
Assist with requitement and hiring of new team members
Qualifications
Qualifications
Knowledge of audiovisual industry standards and best practices
Intermediate electrical, electronic, and mechanical knowledge
Lift operation and entertainment rigging is a plus
Ability to supervise the work of others
Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment
Ability to speak, read and write in English
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
