The Audio /Visual Engineering Group is a new function driving business value through the use of Video Conferencing and Audio /Visual technology. The group focuses on providing collaboration technology ranging from Immersive Telepresence to multipurpose room configurations supporting display replication and audio conferencing for Capital Group word wide.

We are seeking a passionate, motivated and experienced A/V or Video Conferencing Engineering Manager to lead the recently formed A/V Engineering team. In this role, you will work with internal and external partners to design and manage meeting and other collaboration spaces for the company.

As the A/V Engineering Manager, you should be experienced with and passionate about providing reliable and robust solutions that are extremely easy to operate. You must enjoy working with company leaders to understand how people collaborate and use that knowledge to advance the capabilities offered by your tea.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives technology strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives

  • Actively manages the product portfolio ensuring compliance to company guidelines and alignment to roadmaps

  • Leads planning and execution to deliver expected business outcomes

  • Directs overall management and delivery for A/V and Video Conferencing products/solutions

  • Proactively supports and operates solutions and takes measures to enhance processes and improve service delivery

  • Develops, implements and ensures adherence to policies, standards, procedures, methodology

  • Collaborates with Senior Manager to select, develop, and maintain an effective team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Audiovisual and /or Video Conference design, with at least 2 years as a lead or manager

  • 3+ years of experience installing commercial audiovisual products, including calibration of audio and video components

  • In depth knowledge of Video conferencing technologies:

  • Cisco/Webex

  • Cisco video conferencing endpoints

  • Audio DSPs

VIEW JOBS 4/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-09T00:00 The Sr. Engineer, Audio Visual Production works closely with our end users, venue/hotel staff, and third-party vendors to support audio/visual systems for Edwards' meetings both on and off campus. This person will coordinate audio/visual needs for summits, meetings, receptions, etc. They will be the middle person between the Edwards event coordinator and the third parties we hire to provide labor and equipment. This person will be on-site at the meeting running the audio/visual equipment and team to make sure we have a standard workflow with no interruptions. The candidate will work closely with high-level executives, their admins, and the presenters to make sure they are getting the audio/visual support they need to have an effective meeting. Responsibilities: * Key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects * Live production support and meeting coordination. Manage vendors to make sure we are receiving the service and equipment in a timely manner * Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations * Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies * Identify opportunities for process improvements * Schedule dry runs to make sure all equipment is working properly * Develop pre-sale design documentation * Create proposals with a detailed scope of work, a full bill of materials, labor estimates, etc. * Create top view equipment layouts, elevations and mounting details * Provide technical support for troubleshooting and field technicians * Develop, organize and maintain standard operational procedures (including regular maintenance requirements) and workflow processes and procedures for AV systems * Create documentation for testing and validation of the AV systems * Maintain relevant and current knowledge and be a leader within assigned technical field * Manage priorities based on service requests and incident tickets while regularly updating tickets to reflect work performed * Coordinate activities with third party vendors as needed (Order fulfillment, Warrantees, Project Needs, Vendor relations / feedback, and so forth) * Provide appropriate visibility of costs related to service requests and comply to approval requirements * Network with senior internal and external representatives in own area of expertise * Other incidental duties: manage port connections to provide point of use network availability; manage assets including physical and electronic identification and control * 30% travel within Orange County and the United States to attend events. #LI-LP1 #MI #dice Qualifications: * A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, or other area related to Audio Visual production, is required. * A minimum of 4 years of live-production audio/visual support experience is required. * Experience writing and/or maintaining documentation such as: user manuals and reference guides related to AV equipment * Strong knowledge of audio/visual equipment including different types of microphones, mixers, projectors and codecs * Strong knowledge of computers, presentation software and how it works with audio/visual hardware * Must have demonstrated ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks and manage these to completion and customer turnover * Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications (Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Skype and Outlook) * Ability to perform IT hardware and software diagnostics and repairs (Laptops, desktops, mobile computing devices, Audio Video hardware, peripherals, IP Phones, etc.) * Effective cable management skills to maintain organized work stations, data closets and tech tables * Ability to adapt and learn new technologies as needed * Experience using Help Desk ticketing software to manage service tickets and document support provided * Engage end user gathering requirements and analyzing to provide design and architectural recommendations as it relates to AV systems * Strong written and verbal skills * Problem solving skills including trouble shooting techniques * Strong customer service focused skills.
