Audio Visual Engineer
Work Schedule: Onsite Washington DC
Compensation: $+35/hr
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated AV Engineer to maintain and enhance our state-of-the-art audiovisual systems.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and configuration of AV systems integrated with QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante components.
Participate in the installation and configuration of new AV systems, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Assist with system upgrades and evaluate new technologies to support the organization's goals.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
Provide technical support and training to end-users, enhancing their ability to utilize AV resources effectively.
Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on larger installation projects and system overhauls.
Liaise with vendors and service providers to support equipment procurement and system maintenance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in AV system design, installation, and maintenance, preferably with exposure to QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante.
Strong understanding of audio and video processing and control systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
A proactive approach to technology and a willingness to engage in continuous learning and development.
Familiarity with key components like QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante, and ability to manage, configure, and troubleshoot these systems.
Skills in installing and configuring AV systems to meet organizational needs and ensuring seamless integration with existing technology infrastructure.
Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues with AV equipment, preventing and minimizing system downtimes.
Capability to assist in the design of AV systems under the guidance of senior engineers, including preparing system diagrams and integration plans.
Competence in creating and maintaining accurate records and documentation of AV configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures.
