Zenith Systems AV team has designed and installed some of the most complex and technologically advanced AV systems in Cleveland, and we are now seeking a qualified Audio and Video technician to join our busy team.

The right candidate will have extensive experience in service, installation and support of AV systems.

May require up to 25% travel (mostly regional)

This is a union position (Local 38), but current union membership is not required to be considered for the role.

You will be responsible for:

  • AV equipment installation
  • Client training and technical support
  • Setup, testing, and maintenance of AV equipment
  • Coordination of client IT team for networked AV devices
  • Troubleshooting AV and related technology (various projectors, control systems, audio and displays)

Requirements

Experiential

Qualifications:

  • Lead level experience installing AV equipment including large format displays, projectors, cabling, speakers. Video wall experience preferred.
  • General networking, hardware, software, and IT understanding (Windows/MacOS - Linux a plus)
  • Proficient with hand/power tools, wiring/cabling and termination, low voltage wiring, trim-out and installation of wall and ceiling mounts and lift up to 75lbs
  • Comprehend wiring schematics and architectural drawings and complete AV installations to these specifications

Technical

Qualifications:

  • CTS Certified and/or other industry certifications
  • Familiarity with AV Control Systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX
  • Familiarity with installed audio systems such as Biamp, ClearOne, or QSC
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, for use with company vehicle.

Responsibilities: * Repair, Perform Preventative Maintenance and Service all Makes and Models of Generator Sets * Inspect, Repair, Service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on Equipment * Troubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems * Apply proper Engine Technical Skills in Inspection, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Diagnosis, and Operating Performance Tests * Repair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo * Troubleshoot switchgear and automatic transfer switches * Provide 24x7 on call service as required * Travel overnight up to 25% of the time * Deliver exceptional customer service * Cross train in other areas as needed Requirements * 5+ years commercial/industrial experience working on generators and ATS * Must be able to pass DOT physical, pre-employment skills, background, drug screen and driving assessments * Own your own hand tools * Strong written and verbal English skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Outlook email/calendars * OEM Training & Certification and/or EGSA Certification- preferred Physical Demands Tasks require the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work. Physical Activity: 85% physical activity required on customer site working with equipment, 15% form completion, email, other administrative tasks and completing technical support activities by way of telephone and computer communication. * May involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-75 pounds). * Frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands, to touch, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. * Combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. * Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, and Protective Footwear as required. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read computer screens, paper documents, equipment. * Ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. * Up to 10 consecutive hours driving heavy duty truck. * May be required to work long and unpredictable hours. * Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally and hear others speaking.
