FOX News Radio has a great opportunity for a technically strong and motivated Audio Network Operator and Podcast Production Operator. The Audio Network Operator and Podcast Production Operator will provide technical oversight over all FOX News Radio platforms including FOX News Radio's terrestrial operation, FOX News Talk, and FOX News Headlines 24/7.

You will be offered the following shift: Either Sun

  • Thurs or Mon

  • Fri, 11 PM to 7 AM, ET

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor outbound & return paths across all FOX News Radio platforms

  • Edit and time out FOX News Talk programming for re-feeds

  • Troubleshoot operational, CPU, and automation issues

  • Coordinate reporters for live shots within newscasts and breaking news events

  • Run the control board for live coverage, pre-tapes, and overall production

  • Work closely with engineering, IT, and editorial staff in a fast-paced news environment

  • Assist newsroom staffers with technical issues

  • Follow show rundowns to ensure the program runs smoothly

  • Focus on improving the quality of our FOX News Podcasts products, including adjusting guests' sound, inserting music beds, soundbites, and other effects, adding markers for ad insertion, and posting the products to the consumer page

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Minimum of 2 years of broadcast experience

  • Proficient in audio editing software

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of ENCO and Adobe Audition

  • Familiarity with running an audio console

  • Interest in the news cycle

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • You must be available to work weekends

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $19.48-26.21 per hour for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

VIEW JOBS 10/8/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-01-06T00:00 <p>Overview</p><p>WFAN and the CBS Sports Radio Network are looking for tape operators/board operators.</p><p>The anticipated starting salary range for New York City-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $15/hr-$15/hr.</p><p>Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><p>What You'll Do:</p><p>As a Board Operator, you are responsible for running the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs, following all applicable laws and FCC regulations. <br><br> In addition, you may help administer contests, answer listener phone calls, screen listener calls for live shows, operate satellite receivers, take transmitter meter readings, conduct EAS tests, etc. <br><br> This is a critical role in the on-air execution of the station. Board operators may also be responsible for monitoring and log keeping for an additional radio station. As a Tape Operator, you will edit play-by-play highlights and interviews using a digital editing program.</p><p>Qualifications</p><p>About You:</p><p>Required:</p><ul><li><p>Minimum of two years experience as a radio board operator; preferably at a sports talk radio station/network</p></li><li><p>You must have experience with a digital operating system (Media Touch, Audio Vault, Enco or Profit)</p></li><li><p>Must be a team player, computer savvy and have the flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, overnights and holidays, if required</p></li><li><p>Minimum Education Level: Associate</p></li><li><p>A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required</p></li></ul><p>To help promote and ensure the safety of all of our employees and the communities we serve, we require all incoming employees to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. <br><br> If hired, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination, which will be kept confidential.
