Attorney - Municipal

Feerick Nugent MacCartney PLLC (South Nyack, NY) seeking NYS State admitted attorney with at least 3 to 4 years of experience. Candidates must have an interest in local government, municipal law and public employment labor law as well as municipal prosecution work in local justice courts (which would include the investigation of local ordinance/law violations; vehicle and traffic law violation; drafting accusatory instruments; motion practice; organizing and sharing discovery; negotiation of plea bargains; production of ex parte applications, i.e administrative search warrants; evidentiary hearings and trials) as well as related litigation, arbitration and other proceedings.

The Attorney position is full-time and will require some evening work for attendance at municipal board meetings as well as justice courts where our firm handles prosecutions for municipalities we represent (Town and Village). Starting salary range for 3 – 4 years experience beginning at $120,000-$150,000 depending on the applicant’s qualifications and attorney registration status. The firm will consider higher starting salary commensurate with experience.
