It is the primary responsibility of the Warehouse Attendant to fill requisitions, restock products, and maintain the general cleanliness of the warehouse area. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.Charges all electric power forklifts, power jacks, and order pickers as needed. Fills requisitions and restocks products according to department guidelines.
Notifies management of any product past expiration date.
Operates swing mast forklifts, standard size forklifts, man lifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks to transport products to/from and within the warehouse.
Reports any product damage to management.
Completes special projects as necessary.
Greets delivery personnel (in receiving area) in a professional and courteous manner.
Determines, via the inventory/purchasing computer system, if a valid Purchase Order (PO) exists and prints Receiving Worksheet.
Transfers goods from delivery vehicle to the receiving dock using power jacks and forklifts.
Compares PO instructions, specifications, and quantities to the physical product.
Compares Receiving Worksheet quantities to vendor invoice quantities.
Documents any discrepancies in quantities on the vendor invoice.
Documents any discrepancies in quantities, quality, and refusals on the Receiving Worksheet.
Attaches vendor invoice to Receiving Worksheet after signing for goods received.
Performs receiving tasks with a sense of urgency and completes tasks in a timely manner.
Transports processed receipts from the receiving dock to a designated staging location.
Maintains and updates Receiving log sheets.
Cleans equipment, sweeps floors, and empties trash in warehouse and receiving areas on a daily basis.
Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition.
Assists in the preparation of data for the next business day.
Performs additional tasks or assignments as directed by the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Shift Supervisors.
Participates in company sponsored classes to upgrade skill levels that will enable the individual to manage additional responsibilities.
Assists the Purchasing Department with the documentation and receipt of goods procured.
Assists the Warehouse and Inventory Control Departments with daily inquiries and reconciliations.
Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with staff, co-workers, senior management, and outside contractors.
Alerts supervisors of any suspicious behavior or misappropriation of company property.
Drives/Operates company vehicles, forklifts, power jacks, and other industrial tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks within the receiving area.
Perform all other job related duties as requested.
At least 1 year warehouse experience in a casino/hotel or similar environment.
At least 1 year experience using a computerized warehouse management system.
Ability to operate common industry power equipment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Working knowledge of Stratton Warren.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
