Job Description

Position ATS Engineer

Location: East Hartford, CT

Duties: Participate in business requirement meetings, perform requirement and impact analysis with Business Analysts.

Coordinate with business users to understand the data sources/entities. Derive the subsystem level requirements from system requirements. Link the requirements to system requirements in Doors.

Prepare the presentations and HIP document to review the screens and process flow. Prepare Technical Specification documents that explain the technical solutions and list the technologies to be used while implementing the solution. Prepare models to be certain that the data objects are represented accurately.

Product design, Tool design, Optimization, Value Engineering, Reverse Engineering, Software development, Verification & Validation Plan, Architecture design and management in the field of software engineering for Automatic Train Supervision (ATS). Manage and support the enhancements after development. Power Distribution System (PDS or SCADA) design, development, and testing with PDS simulator. Configuration/development of external Interfaces from ATS.

Lab Installation, set up and integration of ATS with external interfaces. NCR reporting, troubleshooting, and fixing after every ATS release. Creation of engineering test designs, test processes, test cases and test data.

Execute the test cases, thereafter, analyze the results. Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures. Prepare all reports related to ATS software engineering testing carried out.

Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures. Defect Tracking, Preparing Summary Reports. Conduct Review Meetings within the team. Travel/Relocation to other unanticipated locations throughout the US is required.

Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related, Engineering (any) + 2 years of experience as a Project Lead, Assistant Project Manager or related and 2 years of experience in C#, JAVA, Postgres, SQL Server, COM/DCOM, Visio and Gerrit.

In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/Information Technology or related, Engineering (any), employer will accept 2 additional years of work experience.
