The Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and the Risk Monitor (RM) application is seeking a Nuclear Safety Analyst to join their team of talented analysts.
Responsible for providing expert level support of the ATR PRA and RM to ensure maintenance to state-of-the-art PRA consensus standards.
Ensures the PRA and RM accurately reflects the facility configuration and are maintained as a state-of-the-art tools.
Applies the ATR PRA and RM in support of facility modifications, development of basis for the facility TSRs, accident frequency calculations, and facility safety enhancements.
Assist management in the application of the PRA and RM as risk based management tools.
Provide technical reviews and advise management on risk issues.
In addition, the individual will be responsibility for understanding the role that PRA has in the ATR Safety Basis and will qualify as a ATR Nuclear Safety Analyst as well as obtaining 10CRF830 USQ qualification at the ATR.
Level 3- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science plus 5 years experience working with nuclear industry PRA and nuclear safety analyses.
Level 4- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science plus 8 years experience working with nuclear industry PRA and nuclear safety analyses.
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance.
Work Location: 47 miles from Idaho Falls, ID (ATR Complex, Work Schedule - 4X10s).
