We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Atlantic College Program. This position is based in New York City and is FOR CREDIT ONLY.

A little bit about the program:

The Atlantic Record's Program is an unpaid, multidimensional, and educational program that begins by matching students with a specific department in Atlantic Records based on their interests and the qualifications for the position. As an Intern for Atlantic Records, you'll gain real-world experience by helping departments meet their business goals, networking and learning from industry professionals, as well as collaborating on innovative projects.

Here you'll get to:

Interns gain practical experience by participating in the day-to-day activities of their department and are exposed to the broader music industry environment via guest speakers, educational workshops, and participation in a marketing-focused competition.

Rockstar candidates will be:

  • Eligible to receive college credit for the semester you participate in the internship (REQUIRED)

  • Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's or Graduate Degree

  • A self-starter with a genuine curiosity for our business

  • Able to commit up to 20 hours per week during the semester

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as effective problem solving and organizational skills

VIEW JOBS 11/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-17T00:00 Company: Mercer Description: About the Mergers & Acquisition Internship Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) is an exciting, fast-paced process most companies will be involved with at some point in time. Mercer's M&A consultants are the preeminent team for evaluating people-related risks as part of M&A deals, and work on deals all the way from inception through post-close integration. While the projects coming through M&A are variable, there are typically a variety of projects happening around the country at any given time. Mercer is often engaged with two main project types: * Due Diligence * Culture / Business Transformation * Business Development / Market Activity Research * Marketing Interns would be expected to assist in both realms of M&A work over the summer and gain exposure to working with cross-country and cross-border teams in a variety of topic areas. The work streams are outlined in additional detail below: Due Diligence Due diligence projects are often fast, complex reports where the M&A team summarizes data for a "Target," or the subject of an acquisition, on behalf of the "Buyer," or the company / firm evaluating the Target. The scope of due diligence projects varies for each report, but typically includes an evaluation of the Target's workforce, employee benefit programs, compensation (including executive compensation), plan compliance, and costs in order to highlight potential risks for the Buyer. Due diligence work involves financial analyses, data evaluation, risk assessment, and crafting recommendations for our clients regarding deal value, potential risks, and areas of negotiation. Interns would be expected to work with seasoned M&A employees to learn due diligence basics and the flow of projects, and eventually work as the analyst on these projects. Culture / Business Transformation Culture / Business Transformation (BT) projects are geared towards companies who are in process of an acquisition or merger and assess the operating environment of a given company to enhance the success of post-deal integrations and workforce changes. Projects often include executive- and senior-level interviews to evaluate current company operating environment, identify key aspects of a company's culture, and creating, communicating, and executing integration plans. Interns would be expected to assist with project management, research, and creation of integration plans along with the Mercer team. Business Development / Market Activity Research Interns would be expected to analyze and report transaction information to the firm from entities such as (i.e. Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, Mergermarket, Refintiv, IBIS, PitchBook). Additionally, interns are responsible for crafting and executing deal searches and pull potential business relationship reports for marketing purposes, partner client pitches and website updates. Marketing Interns would be expected to assist in monitoring the M&A team's internal knowledge management systems called SharePoint. Additionally, interns will create marketing one-pagers for select solutions, update PowerPoint client decks, and edit business articles.
