VIEW JOBS 1/22/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-04-22T00:00 The Dual Human Resources Director will oversee the Human Resources operations of our Canopy Hotel (Midtown) and the Doubletree Hotel (Perimeter), Atlanta, GA. As an active member of the hotels' Executive Committees, the Dual HRD will work closely with the General Managers to develop, implement and achieve hotel goals and annual objectives. The Dual HRD will maintain and ensure adherence to all Human Resources Policies and Procedures. On an annual basis, this position will develop and manage a departmental budget within approved budget guidelines, taking into consideration staffing, productivity, benefits and other Human Resources related costs. This position will be responsible for monitoring compliance of federal, state and local laws. Major areas of responsibility will include Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Associate Relations, Training & OD, and Payroll. The Dual Human Resources Director will oversee the operations of the Human Resources Department for both properties to include the below responsibilities: Talent Acquisition: Follows proper job posting procedures, interview, screen and hire candidates. Compensation: Monitors department salaries and wage structure. Conducts annual wage and benefit surveys within the local market, and makes recommendations to enhance compensation plans based on data from salary surveys. Benefits & Payroll: Monitors insurance and benefit programs and ensures availability to eligible associates. Answers associate questions relative to benefits. Oversees payroll. Associate Relations: Maintains an Open Door Policy for both properties, addresses associate concerns, counsels associates and conducts investigations. Provides guidelines, direction and support to the management team in the administration of the disciplinary process. Conducts exit interviews for all terminated personnel. Analyzes turnover and retention for both properties, keeps Executive Committee updated on turnover trends and makes recommendations for changes and improvements. Reviews and approves all performance appraisals, hires, job transfers, warning notices, counseling sessions, and terminations. Creates and monitors associate communication system (newsletter, bulletin boards, etc.). Training: Develops, maintains and coordinates hotel training programs. Recommends and implements appropriate training programs to include "train the trainer" and development training. Coordinates Management Orientation Program. Ensures associates are in compliance with annual training objectives. Record Keeping: Maintains accurate associate records including personal data, tax information, performance reviews, accrued benefits, wage, and salary information. Administers and maintains accurate records of necessary federal, state, and local reports as required by the applicable laws, franchise COPs, and Concord/local COPs. Maintains accurate records and reports all OSHA information required by law. Oversees the administration of accurate record keeping with regard to immigration laws. Safety: Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor. Reports substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisors. Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures. Follows safety and security procedures and rules. Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
