Job Title: Athletics Secretary

SUMMARY
Manages Athletics office, schedules appointments, and otherwise relieves Athletics Coordinator of clerical work and minor administrative and business details by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate official and places outgoing calls. Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and conducts visitors to appropriate person.
Schedules appointments. Arranges travel schedule and reservations.
Reads and answers or routes incoming mail. Composes and sends routine correspondence. Makes copies of correspondence or other printed matter and files appropriately.
Provides outstanding customer service
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be knowledgeable of all office machines and have a good command of business English
Must be independent thinker
Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, be courteous, cooperative, and tactful in dealing with people
Must be proficient in technology
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree preferred
Two years' previous experience in secretarial setting with educational background beneficial
Clerical testing is required for this position.
