Job Summary
The coach, who will have the working title of Head Coach Softball, will lead the day-to-day operations of our successful NCAA Division II softball program. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, budgeting, preparation for practices and competition, coordinate team travel plans and camps and clinics, organize requests for public appearances, maintain compliance with all NCAA rules, and prioritize student welfare.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree
Three years of paid NCAA DI or DII softball coaching experience
Knowledge of NCAA Compliance Rules and Regulations
No NCAA major violations
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain/obtain a California Driver's License and campus defensive driving certification
Ability to maintain/obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of paid NCAA DI or DII head coaching experience
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups that relates to coaching responsibilities.
Salary commensurate with degree level and experience: This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, 12-month exempt position and is benefits eligible.
