Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Ability to speak, read, and understand the English Language.

Essential Functions:

1.Ability to use personal computers and software to develop spreadsheets and databases.

2.Proficiency in relevant software applications such as payroll processing, spreadsheet programs (e.g. Excel)

3.Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.

4.Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records.

5.Ability to work with numbers accurately and rapidly to meet established deadlines.

6.Ability to communicate effectively.

Experience: Minimum two years of payroll accounting experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

7.Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritizing workload, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

8.Participate in training provided inside and outside of the district to improve job performance as it relates to district and state guidelines.

Finance/Data Entry

9.Perform routine bookkeeping tasks including simple arithmetic operations for the department.



  1. Prepare and process purchase orders and check requests using Skyward Business.

  2. Receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment.

  3. Input budget data into the computer system, maintaining accurate records and generating reports as needed.

  4. Follow all district policies and procedures as it relates to budget management.


Payroll Processing:



  1. Maintain referee time & payroll records to process payments promptly.

  2. Responsible for accurately processing payroll for employees, and ensuring timely and correct payments.

  3. Follow all district policies and procedures as it relates to payroll processing.

  4. Monitor and process personnel time records including leave requests and reports; compile information and submit to the central office via AESOP, etc.


Records/Reports



  1. Maintain physical and computerized files including payroll records, employee demographics, budget reports, etc.

  2. Maintain and update information in the district's timekeeping program for all employees.

  3. Maintain the Athletic Department webpage.

  4. Maintain Athletics website


Other

1.Communicate with various departments to ensure the accuracy of the information reported; and resolve payroll problems and inquiries.

2.Providing general administrative support such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.

3.Exhibit effective communication with all stakeholders such as district employees, vendors, etc.

4.Maintain a schedule of appointments and make travel arrangements for department staff.

5.Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to department staff.

6.Maintain strict confidentiality of all information including payroll information, employee records, and budgetary data.

7.All other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Copier, calculator, personal computer, printer, and shredder.

Work with frequent interruptions to meet established deadlines. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of a computer.
