Athletics Esports Arena - Work Study Aide - Onondaga Community College

Job Description:

Aides will assist in the Esports Arena in the Gordon Student Center (the former Bistro). Duties include:

• Filing, data entry and other basic office tasks. (Computer work)

• Help students with time management so that they do not miss check-in time for competitions.

• Assisting esports athletes with connecting headphones/login issues.

• Monitor the arena to make sure food and drink protocol is observed.

• Help ensure only Esports athletes are in the arena and assist prospects in applying to esports.

• Technology assistance such login issues, updating games etc.

• Basic cleaning and maintenance to keep room looking nice and organized.

• Answering the arena phone and taking messages.

Requirements:

• Must be a Federal Work Study qualified OCC student.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Basic proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and computer skills to assist with logging in, and setup of gear such as headphones.

• Student employment (Work Study Aide) provides OCC students with the opportunity to work on campus. Students work before and/or after class, sometimes evenings or weekends depending upon the position, and are paid minimum wage ($15.00 per hour) for the work they perform.

• Must have a FAFSA on file to see if they qualify for Federal Work-Study (with the exception of F1 visa international students)

• Complete a FAFSA application.
