The Athletics Communications temporary position will serve as an assistant to the Communications team for the day-to-day coverage of the athletic programs. This includes, but not limited to:

• Event stories

• NCAA and CAA statistical information

• Student-Athlete honor nominations

• Event note packages

• Maintaining UNCWSports.com schedules and rosters

• Feature stories written or video

• Maintain website pages

• Compilation of statistical information for records

• Maintain student-athlete and coaches bios on UNCWSports.com

• Assist creative personnel with production of promotional items for the Seahawk Club and Ticketing Office

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency

• Must be highly dependable, flexible, and available to work evenings and weekends

• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public

• Strong problem solving skills

• Work effectively as a team member

• Previous customer service experience preferred

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment.
