MaineGeneral Sports Medicine is a comprehensive, innovative health care program. Our certified trainers, occupational and physical therapists and other medical professionals specialize in the care, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of common sports-related injuries to athletes of all ages throughout the Kennebec Valley region. Our well-established team of experienced Athletic Trainers believes in the mentoring and supporting new staff members.

This is a per diem position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide athletic training services within the department, to contracted schools, contracted events, and other functions pertaining to health, wellness, and fitness within the health system and local community.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Bachelor's degree, Sports Medicine or related field, preferred

  • Current State of Maine Athletic Trainer (AT) license is required

  • National Athletic Trainers Association Board Certification (BOC) is required

  • At least 1 year of recent/relevant experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: * Flexible schedule * Opportunity to work with exceptional care teams in a state-of-the-art facility * Growth opportunities within the organization * Dedication to employee safety, wellness and work/life balance RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. * Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. * Orders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals and or medications according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. * Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. * Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: * Current State of Maine License for radiological Technology/Radiographer (RT) required * Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required * Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. * Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
