Athletic Trainers are staffed at each of our four high schools: La Costa Canyon, San Dieguito Academy, Torrey Pines and Canyon Crest Academy.

Permanent Athletic Trainers work a Monday-Friday work schedule. Oftentimes, there are Saturday sports events which require coverage. Additionally, a substitute may be used Monday-Friday to cover an absence.

The Athletic Trainer provides assistance to student athletes in the prevention, evaluation, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries under the supervision of the Assistant Principal and guidance and direction from the Athletic Director. A valid National Athletic Trainers Association certification is required and one year of experience providing first aid, preventative and rehabilitative treatment to athletes. Please note that the posted work schedule is the anticipated base schedule.

Work hours will vary depending on athletic events. Weekend work may be necessary. Weekly work schedules will be developed as soon as possible after team practice and event schedules are finalized.

• CPR/First Aid Certification (Attach current CPR and First Aid certifications. If you don't have the First Aid certification, you may still submit your application.)
• Other (Valid BOC AT Certification)

Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance.
