Athletic Department Intramural (Ga)

SUMMARY: The Intramural Graduate Assistant (GA) in the athletic department will primarily support the administration and management of the intramural sports program. This includes planning and scheduling a comprehensive range of intramural sports activities. The GA will coordinate the intramural schedule in alignment with the student life manager's schedule and philosophy. Additionally, the GA will assist with other tasks within the athletic department as needed. Evening and weekend work may be required at times.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use IMLeagues to form leagues and schedule seasons and tournaments

• Prepare fields and courts for intramural and intercollegiate contests and provide appropriate equipment as needed

• Support the overall operational needs of the athletic department, including coordinating the intramural schedule with the intercollegiate athletic schedule and the facilities director

• Communicate intramural schedules with appropriate personnel in a timely manner

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Athletic-minded and/or have athletic experience to understand the needs of various sports

• Physically capable of moving equipment (soccer goals, tables, etc.), lining fields, and driving various vehicles

• Maintain graduate enrollment in good standing at BJU

• Support the overall mission of BJU
