The ATD team creates world-class manufacturing technologies by:
Developing new process platforms with step-function improvements in performance and cost
Extending roadmap process technologies with new features, models and reduced costs
Creating innovative, breakthrough technologies for new markets and new products
New college graduates in this organization work as Process Technology and Device Development Engineers in some of the following areas:
-Development of some of the highest performance BiCMOS technologies in the industry. ATD device engineers partner with the factories to deliver leading edge BiCMOS and RF technology on which advance TI products are based
Collaboration with the circuit design teams to bring advanced high speed or high precision circuits to the market. This collaboration between process and design helps to drive the state of the art and the future of technology developments.
As a process development engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with TIs industry-leading analog product teams in precision analog, power management, imaging, audio, high-speed converter and interface applications. This will build a foundation in variety of technologies from deep-submicron and analog CMOS to RF heterojunction and high-voltage SOI BiCMOS. This position provides an excellent view of the entire commercial semiconductor flow from technology development, to manufacturing and circuit design, to product qualification.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Device development in high performance BiCMOS technologies
Characterization of high performance RF devices (including linearity and noise figures)
Development of high performance RF passives and implementation into the design environment
The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of the following: 1) High performance RF HBT devices; 2) diode, resistor, bipolar and FET high current device physics; 3) typical CMOS and analog silicon process flows and the underlying process physics; 4) Advanced RF characterization and modeling and (5) RF/microwave simulation
Strong hands-on lab experience and excellent problem solving skills are also needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must since you will be working with technology development engineers to define and utilized high performance devices in complex products.
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Physics, or related degree
Minimum Cumulative 3.0 GPA
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt accordingly
