This Summer Internship program provides students with hands-on engineering and semiconductor industry experience. Form Factor offers incredible learning opportunities by allowing out interns to contribute to meaningful projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This internship will be working with our engineers to develop an automation equipment at our Livermore facility. You will work with engineers to develop and run tests on internally developed precision automation tool and to test their performance to probe micro springs. This will be an opportunity to do hands on work with, and learn about, design and develop a precision equipment.

Internship duties will include:

• Developing and building the tool with stepper motors and XYZ Gantry.

• Writing software to control the precision movements and DMM measurement tool.

• Write schematic and BOM of completed project.

• Design and run of experiments.

• Data collection and analysis

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Electrical Engineering

• Mechatronics

• Computer engineering

• Robotics

• Automation controls

• Arduino programming to interface with motors and joystick

• Programming on C, C++, visual studio

• Organizational skills and work with close attention to detail

• Good written and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to use standard Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word

• Experience with electro-mechanical course projects is desirable

The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $25.80 and $33.86. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
