Responsibilities Maintains and cultivates an understanding of key business policies, practices, processes, and related controls. Executes financial, compliance, and operational audits within the parameters of an approved work program.

Prepares work papers to properly record and summarize the results of detailed audit testing. Obtains, analyzes, and appraises evidentiary data as a basis for an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control system and the efficiency of the operations being reviewed. Report engagement observations to the senior assurance auditor and/or assurance services management during the audit promptly.

Performs follow-up reviews to ensure audit recommendations are implemented. Assists with special projects, consulting/ advisory engagements, and assignments exclusive of the audit work plan assigned by the assurance services management team. Assists and supports the external auditors as requested and defined by the annual audit plan.

Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications BA/BS degree in accounting or business-related discipline. One year experience in internal audit or public accounting; experience within the company or healthcare industry may be substituted as deemed appropriate by assurance management.

Preferred Certified public accountant (CPA) and/or certified internal auditor (CIA); other applicable and relevant audit certifications.
